If I make a request for reservation online, am I committed to the date?

In order to book the hall, several steps are required to be completed. First the agreement, then receipt of insurance and finally the security deposit. Only after all 3 of those steps are completed, is the hall booked. Any time during that process you can change your mind.

How do I get insurance?

As part of our Maili Hall rental requirements insurance is required. We have provided the above link as a referral from which you can get a quote to see the cost involved.

When completing the insurance quote request online select the following options:

  • Cancellation Policy: None
  • Liability Coverage: $1,000,000/$1,000,000
  • Exclude coverage for Host Liquor Liability (leave unchecked if you do not plan on having alcohol; check if you do plan on having alcohol) as insured. If alcohol is served or consumed at the Event, the Certificate of Insurance must also confirm coverage for liquor liability and social host liability. Proof of insurance is needed in order for us to confirm booking your event. You can easily forward this information to the Insurance agent to be included on the document.

as insured. If alcohol is served or consumed at the Event, the Certificate of Insurance must also confirm coverage for liquor liability and social host liability. Do you permit alcohol?

Alcohol is permitted only inside of the hall. Alcohol is not permitted outside of the hall including walkways, parking lot, etc.

What is the earliest time we can arrive?

For Saturday, 9am. For Friday, 3pm. And for Sunday, 12 noon. These times are factored into the rates for those days. For weekdays, please contact us through our contact form for availability.

Do you rent the hall on weekdays?

Yes we do with some exceptions. Earliest time to arrive is usually 3pm but please contact using our contact form for additional information.

How is parking?

There is limited parking in front and on the side of the facility. Majority of available parking is street parking.

Can I view the hall?

The hall is available for viewing on same days of operation as the preschool on the premises. No appointment is needed. You can view the hall any time between 8am and 5pm during preschool hours. Just see a Kama‘aina Kids preschool staff member to gain entry.

Is the security deposit refundable?

A $500 security deposit is required for all hall rentals. Once a deposit is made, there is no refund should you cancel. This deposit is only refundable after your event.

Can we have a wedding on the premises?

Due to the nature of the premises on which the property resides, any wedding requests must first receive the Episcopal Church’s permission. This is only if the ceremony is taking place in the hall. Otherwise, receptions and pre/post wedding functions are welcomed.

If I have any changes prior to my event, what do I do?

Any changes to your hall rental can be communicated through our contact form. A week prior to your event, you will receive an automated reminder email which will list your on-site contact who will be checking you in and out on the day of your event. Their phone number will also be included for you to coordinate any changes to your hall rental (e.g. will be running late, wish to come in earlier, etc.).
